SILICONE


Organosilicon compounds, or organosilicones, are defined as substances containing Si–C bonds, with at least one organic group directly bonded to a silicon atom. By convention, compounds in which organic groups are linked to silicon atoms via oxygen, sulfur, nitrogen, or other heteroatoms are also classified as organosilicon compounds.

ORGANIC AMINE


Organic amines are an important class of organic compounds whose molecular structures contain amino (–NH₂), imino (–NH–), or secondary amine (–N–) groups, with these nitrogen‑containing moieties directly bonded to hydrocarbon substituents such as alkyl or aryl groups. They differ from ammonia (NH₃, in which nitrogen is bonded to hydrogen atoms) and amides (in which nitrogen is bonded to an acyl group). As core functional‑group compounds in organic chemistry, organic amines are widely found in nature—such as in alkaloids and proteins—and in synthetically produced substances, playing an indispensable role in fields including chemical engineering, medicine, and agriculture.
