Tetramethylsilane with oxime groups

Main applications: It is used as a curing agent and crosslinking agent for room‑temperature vulcanizing silicone rubber. Tetrabutylketoxysilane is often blended with methyltris(β‑ketoxymethyl)silane, which can significantly accelerate the surface drying of ketoxime‑cured RTV silicone rubbers, prevent surface cracking, and enhance properties such as tensile strength. Replacing vinyltris(β‑ketoxymethyl)silane with tetrabutylketoxysilane eliminates the tendency of the latter to yellow over time. Furthermore, when using tetrabutylketoxysilane, an organotin catalyst may be omitted, making it suitable for applications where organotin compounds are not permitted.

Main uses:
  A vulcanizing and crosslinking agent for room‑temperature vulcanizing silicone rubber. Tetrabutylketoxysilane is often used in combination with methyltris(β‑ketoxymethyl)silane, which can significantly accelerate the surface drying of ketoxime‑cured RTV silicone rubbers, prevent surface cracking, and enhance tensile strength, among other properties. Storage and Transportation:
  1. Store in a cool, well-ventilated warehouse. Keep away from sources of ignition and heat. Store separately from oxidizers and food-grade chemicals; never mix or transport together. The storage area should be equipped with appropriate facilities to contain leaks.
  2. Ensure the container lid is tightly sealed and store the container in an upright position; mechanical damage is strictly prohibited. Do not expose it to humid air, and do not reuse the container.
  3. At the time of shipment, packaging must be intact, and loading must be secure. During transport, ensure that containers do not leak, topple, fall, or sustain damage. Protect against exposure to sunlight and rain, and guard against high temperatures during transit.
