Battery-grade sulfuric acid (refined acid) is the core electrolyte component of lead-acid batteries, and its purity and manufacturing process directly affect battery performance.

As a direct participant in the charge–discharge reactions of storage batteries, it serves both as an ionic conductor and a solvent; impurities can lead to accelerated self‑discharge, plate corrosion, and other issues. In accordance with the chemical industry standard HG/T 2692-2015, impurities such as arsenic, iron, and heavy metals must be strictly controlled (e.g., iron content ≤ 0.0005%)7. Compared with ordinary industrial-grade sulfuric acid, higher purity is required.

Tetramethylsilane with oxime groups

Main applications: It is used as a curing agent and crosslinking agent for room‑temperature vulcanizing silicone rubber. Tetrabutylketoxysilane is often blended with methyltris(β‑ketoxymethyl)silane, which can significantly accelerate the surface drying of ketoxime‑cured RTV silicone rubbers, prevent surface cracking, and enhance properties such as tensile strength. Replacing vinyltris(β‑ketoxymethyl)silane with tetrabutylketoxysilane eliminates the tendency of the latter to yellow over time. Furthermore, when using tetrabutylketoxysilane, an organotin catalyst may be omitted, making it suitable for applications where organotin compounds are not permitted.
